Microsoft releases Windows 7 OS

Microsoft Corporation has made an announcement just this week about the upcoming Windows 7 operating system. This OS is also based on Microsoft’s famous Windows Vista.

Windows 7 offers several features including:

  • improved user interface and networking features
  • support for touch gestures
  • new Internet Explorer 8 browser
  • Device Stage for easier management of media players, cameras, and other devices that are connected to your PC

The software maker also says the new OS will provide “more options than ever to customize and personalize your Windows PC”. Windows 7 will be available in many different flavors, including a version for netbook computers. Now that’s very cool indeed.

Furthermore, a “feature complete” beta of Windows 7 is expected to be available in early 2009.
