ACER ASPIRE One Mini Notebook

I think the trend is towards giving the consumers low-cost ultraportable laptops. Sony, Asustek, Everex, and 3K already released their own models. And now, Acer does not want to be left behind.
Acer is set to release the Aspire One low-cost 8.9-inch notebook based on the upcoming Intel Atom processor. Here are some specs of the 2.17-pound Asus Aspire One Mini Notebook:
- Atom N270 CPU at 1.6GHz
- Intel 82945GMS chipset
- 512MB of main memory
- 8GB solid state drive
- 8.9? display with a resolution of 1024-by-600 pixels and LED backlight

Other features include:
- Built-in web camera
- 95% full size keyboard
- Touchpad
- 802.11b/g wireless module
- Ethernet LAN port
- Three USB ports
- VGA output
- 5-in-1 media card reader
- SD card slot
Acer Aspire One is powered by a 3-cell battery and runs a highly modified Acer Linux operating system. Acer Aspire One is expected to cost around $400 in the United States. No information yet on its availability.
