Fujitsu‘s four LifeBook mobile PCs have received certification from Novell for SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop (SLED) Linux. These notebooks include Fujitsu LifeBook U810 ultra-mobile PC, LifeBook T2010, LifeBook P1620 ultra-portable convertible notebooks, and the LifeBook S6510 thin and light laptop.

The certification signifies that the notebooks have been “stringently tested” for compatibility with SLED operating system eventhough Fujitsu sells the four PCs only with Microsoft Windows systems preinstalled.
SUSE is one of the most popular Linux distribution currently, and is already offered in Lenovo’s ThinkPad T61 and R61 laptops, while Dell sells Ubuntu Linux on the Inspiron 1525N, 1420N, and XPS M1330 notebooks.
