Parallels releases version 3 of the Windows-on-Mac software
Parallels released on Thursday an update of its Desktop software, which allows Intel-based Mac users to run Windows and Mac OS simultaneously. It can be remembered that the software gained popularity when its first version was released last June, even getting a plugin on Apple’s website.
The new version, 3.0, adds a number of useful features including SmartSelect, which lets Mac users choose which program opens a particular type of file, regardless of whether it is stored in the Mac or Windows desktop.
Parallels software’s new version is available for download and in trial form from the company’s Web site, with retail stores expected to have the new versions on shelves in about two weeks.
In fairness, Parellels managed to really do a huge makeover to their old software. And this is more than just a hair transplant, they really provided the users with the features that would really give much help. I’m sure this updated version will become as successful as its predecessor.
